理事長挨拶
理事長 渋谷 眞人
東京工芸大学教授
製造業のいろいろな分野で日本の産業が力を失いつつある中，デジタルカメラを筆頭に，顕微鏡，半導体露光装置，液晶露光装置などの光学機器において，日本のメーカーは非常に高いシェアを維持しています。これら我が国が優位を保っている光学機器の多くは，光学系のみならず，機械系，電気系，デジタル情報系などの設計製造技術を合わせた複合機器であります。このような時代において，技術者には，一つの専門領域に閉じこもるのではなく，幅広く多角的な知識を持つことが要求されています。
国際光技術者検定協会は，光学分野の専門家に限られていた光設計技術を，光学分野に限らず広い分野の技術者や研究者，学生，さらに，一般市民の方々に知っていただくために設立された特定非営利活動法人であります。光技術者検定という具体的な事業を通じて，技術者や一般市民の方々に光学設計技術に興味を持っていただくとともに，そのための教育事業や関係者間のネットワークを通じて，国際的に広く普及に務める所存です。その結果、世界の光学機器ビジネスの発展に貢献出来るものと信じています。
